Has anyone try feeding their altums with scud? I've notice that my altums love shrimps. I put in 25 cherry shrimps in with them and before the day ended there was only 1 or 2 left. Scud seems easier to produce so I want to give them a try. What are the benefits and cautions to consider.

I keep several tanks of cherry shrimp (neocaradina) just for my altum . They may be their favorite right ahead of blackworm. I asked this same question years ago while I was exploring live food options. If they're large enough the altum should eat them with gusto. The only drawbacks would be parasites or disease.
